Part 2: Learn how to research competitor funnels in Spytrend.

Spytrend now has a dedicated nutra affiliate plan: Nutra Affiliate. It covers nutra offers exclusively, with ads organized by niche and product. You can see the sales tactics behind each ad and where it leads beyond the cloaking.

We’ll say it plainly: there is currently no larger analytics platform for nutra.

First, a note on the data used here. Our subscribers pay for fresh data, so publishing it in an open article would be unfair to them. Instead, the walkthrough below uses August data: we take 17,000 nutra ads launched in August and use them to demonstrate all the analytics included in the plan. A subscription gives you the same tools with current data. For scale, Nutra Affiliate recorded more than 350,000 new ads over the last 30 days, from September 20 to October 20.

How the nutra ad database is built

A typical ad spy tool shows you the creative and the safe page shown to moderators. For nutra, that leaves out the important parts hidden behind cloaking: the pre-landing page, the actual offer, the target countries, and the order form.

Every day, we get past ad cloaking and save the full user journey, landing pages, and pre-landing pages. AI then examines what is actually being sold behind the cloaking, rather than the image in the creative, and assigns each ad a vertical, niche, and product.

Why not classify ads by their creatives? In nutra, the creative is almost always a disguise. A weight loss product is sold through a doctor’s interview; a hearing aid through a news story about a pharmacy. If you only look at the image, nutra ads end up scattered across a dozen categories. The August sample makes this clear: standard AI classification based on creatives splits these ads into Healthcare (29%), Health and Wellness (27%), Food and Beverage (21%), Ecommerce, Pets and Animals, Beauty, and more. Nutra Affiliate brings them all together in one vertical.

What each nutra ad card shows

Every card has a label such as “Nutra Affiliate · Weight Loss · AlkaMelt”: vertical, niche, product. As you scroll through the feed, you can identify the offer without opening its landing page.

The card also contains the path to the offer. Here’s an ad from August 20 featuring a video with baking soda and lemon:

  1. The ad link leads to hype33.buzz.
  2. From there, it redirects through the tracker go.asspecial.com.
  3. The final landing page is video.asspecial.com/VSL/Buygoods/ALKAMELT: the AlkaMelt offer’s VSL on Buygoods.

The entire path is saved, and you can copy every link.

The card also lets you:

  • Download the landing page. Save the landing page as an archive.
  • View the cloaked landing page. See the page shown to users rather than moderators.
  • Reveal creatives hidden behind foreign-language slides. If an advertiser hides the actual creative behind decoy slides in other languages to pass Facebook moderation, we show the actual creative first.
  • Get past cloaking and identify the brand. Request a fresh check of an ad right now: the actual product page, a full snapshot and copy, screenshots of every step, and a checkout link. This usually takes 5–10 minutes and costs 100 tokens. If the check cannot get past the cloaking, the tokens are refunded.

Analyze nutra affiliate offers across a filtered sample

This is the main reason to get the plan. Set your filters, click “Sample Analytics,” and get a breakdown of the entire selection at once. Here’s what it shows for August.

Sample Analytics for 17,328 nutra affiliate ads launched in August
Sample Analytics: 17,328 nutra ads launched in August

A quick note on percentages. August had 17,328 ads in total. The “Nutra Affiliate — What’s Inside” section, covering products, media outlets, celebrities, niches, and tactics, uses the 12,570 ads whose cloaked landing pages we analyzed. Percentages in those sections are based on 12,570 ads. Country, advertiser, and affiliate breakdowns use all 17,328.

Products. See which products account for the largest share of ads. AlkaMelt led in August with 1,930 ads, or 15% of those with analyzed landing pages, followed by HemaRenew (1,148), HemaBalance (754), and GlycoResult (502).

Niches. Weight loss accounted for more than half of the August nutra ads with analyzed landing pages: 6,691 out of 12,570. Diabetes (781) and prostate (726) followed at a considerable distance, then liver and kidney health, and memory.

Media outlets being impersonated. Ads posed as Fox News (2,861 ads, 23%) and TODAY Show (1,933, 15%), followed by TODAY, NBC News, and ABC News.

Celebrities featured. Elon Musk appeared in 2,723 ads (22%), and Oprah Winfrey in 2,432 (19%). Actor Sam Elliott and Bill Gates followed at a considerable distance.

Tactics. This is especially useful when you’re putting together a campaign funnel. Fake video players appeared in 58% of ads, fake reviews and chat in 54%, fake TV reports in 49%, and fake news articles in 48%.

A single ad usually uses several tactics, so the percentages add up to more than 100%.

Countries. The US appeared in 86% of August ads, Canada in 13%, and Australia in 10%. Next came the UK, Mexico, Hungary, the Philippines, and Spain, with 43 countries in total. One ad often runs in several countries, so these percentages also add up to more than 100%.

You also get domains, top advertisers, and top affiliates. In August, 352 advertisers ran nutra ads, but the affiliate breakdown reveals who was behind them: just 91 affiliates. The top two accounted for more than half of all ads that month, with 28% and 25% of the 17,328 ads.

Every row in the analytics is clickable. Click Canada, for example, and the entire breakdown updates to show only Canada. It’s a straightforward way to explore a target country, where the picture can look very different from the market overall.

The same August analytics, filtered to Canada

Canada had 2,289 nutra ads in August, with landing pages analyzed for 2,249. One campaign setup accounted for almost the entire market:

  • AlkaMelt appeared in 1,726 ads, or 77% of those with analyzed landing pages, compared with 15% across all nutra ads.
  • Those same 1,726 ads impersonated TODAY Show and featured Oprah. Fox News and Musk, the overall market leaders, appeared in just 161 ads here (7%).
  • The leading tactic was impersonating an authority (86%, compared with 32% across the market). A fake app interface appeared in 83% of ads, despite not appearing among the top six tactics for August overall.

The overall breakdown might have led you toward a Fox News and Musk setup, while advertisers in Canada were running something quite different.

Sample Analytics shows which products and approaches lead over a selected period. The “Vertical Trends” button shows how that changes day by day. It charts the same breakdowns — products, brands, niches, tactics, and celebrities — over 7, 30, or 90 days.

The chart shows when advertisers start scaling. We’ll make an exception here and show the latest 30 days, since the August data doesn’t show this example. On October 4, 4,772 new nutra ads launched. By October 9, that number had reached 37,223, including 19,090 in the prostate niche. Two days later, on October 11, it was back to 4,496. The niche spiked severalfold in a day and immediately dropped again — a signal to look inside while the campaign setup is still fresh. Hover over any day to see the breakdown by niche. Use the checkboxes in the legend to enable niches; the tooltip shows only those selected.

Research nutra offers by ad volume

A common mistake in nutra is choosing an offer based on old results: it worked a year ago, so it should work now. Another is inventing an approach from scratch and hoping it lands.

We suggest working backward from what advertisers are running. Market ad volume is the best external signal of profitability available. Advertisers don’t keep hundreds of losing ads running for long. If a product runs at volume for weeks, it is likely making money. If hardly anyone is running an offer you remember performing well, that is a reason to look more closely: it may no longer be profitable at the acquisition cost you need.

Here’s how that looks using the same August data.

Step 1. Open Sample Analytics and check which products account for the most ads. In August, AlkaMelt led with 1,930.

Step 2. Click AlkaMelt in the product list. This opens a feed containing only that product’s creatives.

Step 3. Sort by “Most Relaunched.” This shows which creative has been launched the most times.

August AlkaMelt creatives sorted by relaunch count, with the first selected and playing

The top AlkaMelt creative in August was launched 216 times; the next two were launched 76 and 66 times. The second was the baking soda and lemon video whose path we examined earlier. A creative relaunched dozens or hundreds of times across different accounts has clearly moved beyond testing. Advertisers are scaling it, and are unlikely to be doing so at a loss.

Next, open the card, inspect the path to the offer and the cloaked landing page, download the page, and study what makes the funnel work. Follow the volume to see what is already running.

This works because all the analytics are based on landing pages accessed behind cloaking. The product is identified by what is actually being sold, rather than the image in the creative. So AlkaMelt’s 216 relaunches really are 216 ads leading to AlkaMelt, however different the creatives might look.

One final point about August: by October 20, 87% of the month’s 17,000 ads had already disappeared, and just 1.5% remained active. Nutra moves fast. Older data helps explain the tool, but campaign research needs fresh data. That is available inside the subscription.
