Trending Instagram hashtags by country

The hashtags rising in Reels in any country this week, over two weeks and over four weeks.

To find trending Instagram hashtags, pick a country and press Show hashtags. You get the hashtags used in Reels by the most creators with an audience there, for this week, two weeks and four weeks, with their posts, how they changed against the period before and how many creators used them. Copy any hashtag with one click.

One country, three periods, and the hashtags creators with an audience there actually used in Reels.

What you get

The hashtags rising in one country, for three periods

You get the hashtags that are taking off where your audience lives, ranked by how many creators picked them up. It replaces the slow way, scrolling the Explore page and guessing which tags are rising and which have peaked.

The card has three tabs: Hot for the last week, Popular for two weeks and Top for four weeks. Switching tabs is instant.

What each column means:

  • Posts. How many Reels carried the hashtag in the period, counted once per Reel.
  • Trend. How the hashtag’s posts changed against the previous period of the same length: +40% means four in ten more posts than the week before, for the Hot tab. A dash means there is not enough data about the previous period.
  • Creators. How many different creators used the hashtag in the period. The list is ranked by it, then by posts.

A hashtag needs at least ten creators in a period to be ranked, so one account posting the same tag fifty times does not top the list.

How to use it

Find trending hashtags for your Reels: three steps

  1. Pick a country

The page opens on the United States. Choose the country your audience lives in, or all countries, and press Show hashtags; your first lookup is free, no sign-up.

  2. Switch between the periods

Hot shows what took off this week, Popular and Top what has held up for two and four weeks. A tag high in Hot but missing from Top is new momentum.

  3. Copy the hashtags you need

Each row has a Copy button that puts the hashtag, with its #, on your clipboard. Mix a few rising tags with ones that fit your niche.

Check the Trend column before you copy: a big tag that is falling fast is often past its moment, while a smaller one that is climbing still has room.

How the ranking works

Creators first, then posts, from Reels in Spytrend’s dataset

We read the captions of the Instagram Reels in Spytrend’s dataset and count every hashtag once per Reel. Country is the main audience market of the creator’s account, not where the creator lives.

Hashtags are ranked by how many different creators used them, then by posts. Trend compares posts with the previous period of the same length; a dash means there is not enough data for the previous period.

Limits

Free version limits

Your first lookup is free, no sign-up. Leave your email for one more, then create a free Spytrend account: it opens Content AI video search with a daily limit, and Content AI plans add profile and video breakdowns, tracking and more searches.

The list the page opens on is free to read. Each tab shows the top fifteen hashtags: the first five in full and the next ten blurred until you sign up for a free Spytrend account. The hashtags come from Instagram Reels only.

Why creators use it

Tag for the audience you post for — not for the global feed

Global hashtag lists are dominated by the same few giant tags. What rises in one country is different: it shows what creators with an audience there are tagging in their Reels right now.

A creator compares Hot with Top to tell a passing spike from a tag that keeps working, and puts a mix of both on the next Reel.

An SMM manager running accounts in several countries checks each market’s list before planning the week’s posts, instead of reusing one set of tags everywhere.

The Reels and Shorts behind a rising hashtag

This page ranks the hashtags rising in one country.

Spytrend’s Content AI finds the Reels and Shorts that beat their creator’s usual views in your niche, shows what each video is about, and tracks the accounts you follow. Type a #hashtag in its Video Search and you get the videos that carry it, not just a count.

What Content AI adds to a hashtag

  • What the tag looks like on screen. Video Search lists the Reels and Shorts under a hashtag, with their views, likes and comments, so you see the formats and hooks that use it before you film your own.
  • Which videos under it actually broke out. Every video shows how far it beat its creator’s usual views, so a tag’s outliers stand apart from the big accounts that get views on any tag.

How to start

Create a free account and search a hashtag from this list. A free Spytrend account opens video search with a daily limit; Content AI plans add profile and video breakdowns, tracking and more searches.
