To audit a YouTube channel, enter its @handle or channel link and press Audit channel. You get a quality score out of 100 with a rating from Poor to Excellent, the subscriber count and the engagement rate. When the score is low, one line names the main reason.
This page reads one channel from the YouTube channels we have collected. It does not query YouTube live.
[ What you get ]
A quality score out of 100, the subscriber count and the engagement rate
You get one answer about one channel: how its public numbers compare with channels of the same size. YouTube shows the subscriber count and leaves the comparison to you; this page does the comparison.
What comes out:
- A quality score. A number from 0 to 100 with a rating: Excellent, Very good, Good, Average or Poor. Higher means the channel’s views, likes and activity look like those of healthy channels its size.
- Subscribers and engagement rate. The subscriber count, and the median likes per view across its recent videos.
- One reason, when the score is low. Below 60, one plain line names the signal that pulled the score down, such as views far below channels of this size.
The score is a quality signal, not a verdict. A low score says the numbers look unusual for the channel’s size; it does not prove that anyone bought subscribers or views.

Read the score
You get the quality score with its rating, the subscribers and the engagement rate, and one reason line when the score is low.
Picking a channel for a sponsored video? Audit two or three channels of a similar size: the score is built for that comparison.
[ How the score works ]
Four signals, each measured against channels of the same size
We put the channel next to YouTube channels with a similar subscriber count (and, where we have enough of them, the same category) and look at four signals: views against subscribers, likes per view, how evenly its videos perform, and whether it still uploads.
Each signal becomes a position among those peers, and the score is their weighted average, from 0 to 100. Views against subscribers weigh the most, because bought subscribers do not watch.
One viral video does not pull the score down, and a large channel is never compared with a small one. We do not sample or classify the channel’s subscribers, so the score never claims a share of them is fake.

Free version limits
Your first lookup is free, no sign-up. Leave your email for one more, then create a free Spytrend account: it opens the full ad library, and paid plans add fresh ads and every filter.
One lookup reads one channel from our database, and the result stays on this page. A channel we have not collected yet gets no score.
[ Why marketers use it ]
Pay for viewers, not for a subscriber count — check before you sponsor
A sponsored video is priced on subscribers, but only viewers see your product. When a channel’s recent videos draw far fewer views than channels its size, the price and the reach have come apart.
A brand manager shortlisting channels audits each one and keeps the ones whose views and likes hold up against their peers.
An agency compares two channels with the same subscriber count and sees which one still has an audience that watches.

The ads brands actually run, beside the channels they sponsor
This tool audits one channel at a time.
Spytrend is an ad intelligence platform for Facebook and TikTok advertising: a full five-year archive of ads, AI-classified into 33 business categories, with every advertiser assembled into a single card — all ads, pages, domains and countries in one place.
Two jobs where one channel is not enough
- Writing the brief for the sponsored video. The video ads that brands in the niche keep running show which hooks and formats hold attention there, so the brief starts from evidence.
- Seeing who else pays for the same audience. An advertiser’s card lists every ad, page and country, so you can see how hard competitors push the viewers you are about to buy.
How to start
Create a free account and search a brand in the channel’s niche. The free account opens the ad library; paid plans add fresh ads and every filter.
