Upload a video or paste a YouTube link, pick a language and get SRT subtitles
plus plain text. Your first run is free, no sign-up.

The limits below are the defaults; the upload box on the page shows the current
ones.

## What is a video translator?

A video translator turns the speech in a video into text in another language.
You get subtitles and a transcript, not a new video: the picture stays as it is
and nobody is re-voiced. You read the video instead of listening to it.

## Translated SRT subtitles, timed to the video

One run gives you the translation twice: as a timed SRT subtitle file in the
language you picked, and as the same words in plain text.

What comes out:

- **Translated SRT.** Numbered lines with the original timestamps. Load it into
a video player or an editor as a subtitle track.
- **Plain text.** The same translation without timestamps, ready to paste into
  a brief or a prompt.

Translation changes the words, not the moments they belong to, so the subtitles
still line up with the picture.

Two honest limits: this is not dubbing, so no new voice is generated, and text
shown on screen, such as titles or signs, stays in its original language.

## AI video translator: three steps

1. **Add the video** — upload an MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV or M4V file up to 10
minutes and 80 MB, or paste a YouTube link.
2. **Choose the language** — pick the language you want to read in and press
Translate video. The original language is detected automatically.
3. **Copy or download** — press Download SRT for the subtitle file or Download
TXT for the plain text, or copy the text straight from the page.

A file at the cap takes a few minutes. A YouTube link works a little differently
from a file, as the next section explains.

## A YouTube link is translated from its captions

Paste a YouTube link and the tool translates the captions the video already has.
An uploaded file is different: its speech is transcribed first, then
translated.

So a video with no captions can't be translated from its link. The tool tells
you so; download the video and upload the file instead.

| What you bring | What happens |
| --- | --- |
| A video file | Speech transcribed, then translated |
| A YouTube link with captions | Its captions translated |
| A YouTube link without captions | Refused, with the way out |

## Free version limits

Your first run is free, no sign-up. Leave your email for one more, then create a
free account and pay only for what you use.

## Read ads from markets you don't speak — and see if the pitch traveled

The ad worth studying is often one you can't understand: a competitor scaling in
a market whose language you don't speak. Translated subtitles give you its
argument line by line: the hook in the first three seconds, the claim, the price
if it's spoken, the guarantee and the call to action. The timestamps show
exactly when the offer lands.

Translation also settles a question guesswork answers badly: does a campaign
running in several countries say the same thing in each, or was the pitch
rebuilt for every market?

This tool translates one video at a time. Reading a whole market takes dozens.

## FAQ

**How do I translate a video?**
Upload the file or paste a YouTube link, pick the language you want to read in
and press Translate video. You get timed SRT subtitles in that language and the
same words as plain text.

**Is this video translator free?**
Yes, to try. Your first run is free, no sign-up. Leave your email for one more,
then create a free account and pay only for what you use.

**Can I translate a YouTube video?**
Yes, if the video has captions: paste the link and the tool translates them. For
a video without captions, download it and upload the file here instead.

**Which languages can I translate into?**
Any language in the list next to the language field; search it for yours. The
original language is detected automatically, so you only choose the one you
want to read in.

**What file formats can I upload?**
MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV and M4V, up to 10 minutes and 80 MB per file. Only the sound
is used, so the picture doesn't affect the result.

**Does it dub the video or burn in subtitles?**
No. You get an SRT subtitle file and a transcript; your video, its picture and
its sound stay as they were. To replace the voice, use Video dubbing below.

**How accurate is the translation?**
It's automatic recognition and translation, so check names, numbers and brand
terms before you quote them. Every subtitle line keeps its timestamp, which
makes it quick to check against the video.

## Every video ad in a foreign market, translated in one click

Spytrend is an ad intelligence platform for Facebook and TikTok advertising: a
full five-year archive of ads, AI-classified into 33 business categories, with
every advertiser assembled into a single card — all ads, pages, domains and
countries in one place. On paid plans, any video ad in it can be translated in
one click.

Two jobs where language is the only thing in the way:

- **Deciding whether a market is worth a test budget** — see which offers have
run there for months, at what price and against which objection. Forty
translated ads answer that in an afternoon.
- **Telling a rollout from a rewrite** — a brand in five countries runs either
one argument, translated, or five different pitches. That tells you whether
your creative can travel or needs a rebuild.

What the translation is attached to in Spytrend: here you get an SRT for one
video. In Spytrend the ad you translate sits next to its launch date, its days
live and its countries, and the advertiser's other ads are in the same card.

Read a foreign market in three steps:

1. **Search a brand or a domain** — start with a competitor you already watch,
in the market you are entering.
2. **Translate what has run longest** — sort by run time: the ads that survived
that market come first. On a paid plan, each one is a click away from a
   translation.
3. **Compare the brand across borders** — an angle that repeats in every country
is worth adapting; one that runs in a single market is probably a local test.

Why the market, not one video: a single video shows one pitch at one moment. A
market read also needs the ads that stopped, since a promise that failed there
is worth knowing before you pay to repeat it. Free ad libraries mostly show what
is live today; Spytrend keeps the stopped ads too, with how long each one ran.

How to start. Create a free account: it opens the ad library, and paid plans add
fresh ads, every filter and one-click translation. Search a brand or a domain in
the country you are considering and read what has run there longest. What each
plan includes is on the pricing page.

### Compare a brand's ads country by country

You just translated one video. In Spytrend a brand's ads sit side by side by
country, so you can see which pitch traveled and which was rewritten for the
market.
