Translate audio: read a recording in your language

Upload a recording, pick a language and read the translation as text or SRT subtitles. Your first run is free, no sign-up.

To translate an audio file, upload it above, choose the language you want to read and press Translate audio. The source language is detected for you. You get the translation as plain text and as an SRT subtitle file whose timestamps follow the original speech.

[ What you get ]

Translate audio into text and subtitles

You get what was said, written out in the language you choose. The recording itself is not changed and no new voice is added; for that, use Video dubbing. One run does both steps: the speech is recognized, then translated.

What comes out:

  • The translation as plain text. Copy it on the page or download the file.
  • The translation as subtitles. An SRT file whose timestamps come from the original speech, so each line lands on the second it was said when you add it to the source video.
  • A link to the result. It opens the finished translation, so you pass the link on instead of uploading the file again.

Two honest limits. A misheard word becomes a mistranslated sentence, so read names, numbers and brand terms against the audio before you publish. And idiom, slang or a pun in a hook rarely survive; what comes through reliably is the argument.

[ How to use it ]

Audio translator: three steps

  1. Add the file

Drop an audio or video file onto the upload box, or press Choose a file. The length and size caps are shown next to it.

  2. Choose the language

Pick the language you want to read in Translate into. You don't set the spoken language; the tool detects it.

  3. Read, copy, download

Press Translate audio. The translation appears on the page: copy it, press Download TXT or Download SRT, or copy the link.

It works on any recording with speech, captioned or not. Often that is a voice message in a language you don't speak: export it from the chat and upload it like any other file.

[ Limits ]

Free version limits

Your first run is free, no sign-up. Leave your email for one more, then create a free account and pay only for what you use. Opening a result you already have doesn't use a run.

The length and file-size caps are shown next to the upload box, and each run translates into one language. A file with no speech gets its own message instead of an empty result. Your translation stays at its own link for a while, so download what you want to keep.

Rights. You must own the recording or have permission to use it. The translation is for your own use.

[ Why marketers use it ]

Audio translator that keeps the argument — and opens ads in languages you don't speak

Media buyers use audio translation to read markets they don't speak. The ads that work in Poland or Brazil were made in a language nobody on the team reads, and an ad library searches only their typed text. Translate the voice-over and you get what matters: the offer, the objection the first ten seconds handle, the guarantee. The exact phrasing rarely transfers; the argument does.

Doing that one download and one upload at a time is slow work for a whole niche.

On paid plans, any video ad in Spytrend can be translated in one click, so a foreign market's ads read in your language.

Every video ad a brand runs, in a language you read

Spytrend is an ad intelligence platform for Facebook and TikTok advertising: a full five-year archive of ads, AI-classified into 33 business categories, with every advertiser assembled into a single card — all ads, pages, domains and countries in one place. On paid plans, any video ad in it can be translated in one click.

Two jobs a translation unlocks

  • Reading a market in a language you don't speak. Before the first test budget in a new country, the ads that have run there for months are your brief: what gets promised, at what price, against which objection. In your language, a few dozen of them read in one sitting.
  • Carrying one angle into five markets. A creative that works in Brazil and one that works in Poland are often the same argument in two languages. Side by side in translation, they show which part of the pitch traveled and which was rebuilt for the local audience.

What the translation is attached to

Here you translate a file you already have. In Spytrend the translation sits on the ad itself, in a country you don't sell in yet, with its launch date, days live, countries and the landing page it links to.

Read a foreign market in three steps

  • Pick the country you are entering. Then search a brand or a domain, or open a business category there.
  • Translate what has been running longest. Sort by run time: an ad that survived months in a market has survived that market's objections.
  • Separate the angle from the wording. The argument travels, the phrasing rarely does. Take the first, rewrite the second with a native speaker.

Why a market, not a file

One translated recording tells you what one advertiser said once. Entering a country means knowing what stopped there too: a promise that died in that market is worth knowing before you pay to repeat it. A free ad library doesn't keep that history.

How to start

A free Spytrend account opens the ad library; paid plans add fresh ads and every filter. Search a brand or a domain from the country you're entering and start with the ads that have lasted longest there.
