Talk into your microphone and watch your words appear as text in real time.

The limits below are the defaults; the recording controls on the page show the
current ones.

## Live text of everything you say, ready to copy

You speak into the microphone and the words appear as text while you talk. Copy
them, or download a TXT file.

It's live dictation, straight from your browser tab. It doesn't take audio files
or YouTube links, and it doesn't read text aloud.

What comes out:

- **Live text.** Your words appear in the field as you talk. Pause, resume or
stop without losing what is already there.
- **Copy.** One click puts the text on the clipboard for your notes, a script or
  a doc.
- **TXT file.** The same text as a plain-text download. There is no SRT: this is
  dictation, not subtitles.

Words can still change mid-sentence; finished sentences stay on the page until
you start a new recording or leave the page.

Two honest limits: each recording runs up to 3 minutes, and names or brand terms
can come out wrong, so check them before you paste the text.

## Online dictation tool: three steps

1. **Press Start talking** — allow the microphone when the browser asks. If it's
blocked, the page tells you and asks you to allow it for this site.
2. **Speak naturally** — talk at a normal pace and watch the text appear. Pause
for a break, Resume to go on, Stop to end the recording and keep the text.
3. **Copy or download** — press Copy or Download TXT before you leave: the text
isn't kept on the page after you close it.

The tool listens to the microphone only and never plays anything back. For a
recording you already have, use Voice recording to transcript below.

## Free version limits

Your first run is free, no sign-up. Leave your email for one more, then create a
free account and pay only for what you use.

## Talk through a competitor's ad — and paste your notes into the brief

Watching a competitor's video ad or clicking through their landing page, talking
is faster than typing. Say what you notice, the hook, the offer and the
objection it answers, and it lands as text you can search, quote and paste into
a brief.

Dictating while the ad plays also keeps your notes accurate: you record what you
saw, not what you remember an hour later.

One note covers one ad. Research is a different job: dozens of video ads, hooks
and offers, where you need to compare, not remember.

## FAQ

**How do I convert speech to text?**
Press Start talking, allow the microphone and speak. Your words appear as text
in real time; press Copy or Download TXT when you're done.

**Is this speech to text tool free?**
Yes, to try. Your first run is free, no sign-up. Leave your email for one more,
then create a free account and pay only for what you use.

**How long can one recording be?**
Up to 3 minutes. A timer counts down while you talk, and when it runs out the
recording stops without losing the text you already have.

**Which languages does it recognize?**
It detects the language you speak automatically, so just start talking. Clear
speech close to the microphone gives the best result.

**Can I upload an audio file or a YouTube link?**
No. This tool listens to your microphone only. For a recording you already have,
use Audio to text or Voice recording to transcript below.

**Does it read the text aloud?**
No. It turns speech into text and does not play anything back. To hear text read
aloud, use Text to speech below.

**Do you keep my voice or the transcript?**
No. Spytrend doesn't save your recordings or the text. The words stay in this
browser tab until you copy them, download them or leave. If you leave your
email, we use it for your free runs and to reach you about Spytrend.

## Every competitor video ad, one click from text

Spytrend is an ad intelligence platform for Facebook and TikTok advertising: a
full five-year archive of ads, AI-classified into 33 business categories, with
every advertiser assembled into a single card — all ads, pages, domains and
countries in one place. On paid plans, any video ad in it can be transcribed in
one click.

Two jobs where dictation runs out:

- **Writing your own read on a competitor** — you talk your notes on one rival
ad into this page. The brief is usually about a whole category, though, and
that is forty ads you haven't watched yet.
- **Turning a call into a next step** — a supplier or partner call dictated on
the spot is searchable the same day. Then check it against the market: what
that offer looks like in the ads people are paying to run right now.

What the words are attached to in Spytrend: here your text is a note in a browser
tab. In Spytrend a transcript opens inside the ad it came from, next to the ad's
launch date, how many days it has been running and the countries it runs in.
Run time is the signal to trust: an ad that has run for months is one somebody
keeps paying for.

From one note to a whole market, in three steps:

1. **Search a brand or a domain** — pick the rival you just made notes on, in
   the country you sell to.
2. **Read instead of watching** — sort by run time and open the ads that have
survived longest. On a paid plan, one click turns each into text: forty
creatives read in less time than three of them take to watch.
3. **Dictate the conclusion, not the transcript** — use this page for what only
you can produce: the read, the angle you are taking, the brief for the team.

Why not do it by hand: watching forty ads and dictating notes on each would take
a day. Reading their transcripts side by side is much faster, and Spytrend adds
what free ad libraries rarely keep: the ads that stopped, with how long each one
ran.

How to start. Create a free account: it opens the ad library, and paid plans add
fresh ads, every filter and one-click transcription. Search a brand or a domain
in your country and see which ads have run there longest. What each plan
includes is on the pricing page.

### Read the ads a competitor is paying to run

You just dictated one note. In Spytrend, on a paid plan, every video ad a
competitor runs is one click from text, with run time and countries beside it.
