To check whether an ad creative is reused, paste its Meta Ad Library link and press Check this creative. You get the number of ads running the exact same creative, how many are live, and the Facebook pages behind them. One creative in 40 ads means somebody paid to run it again.

## Reuse separates a test from a decision

A creative in a single ad is a test. The same creative across forty ads is a decision: somebody looked at the numbers and paid to run it again.

Reuse across pages is a different fact. One page running its own creative forty times is scaling; forty pages running the same one usually means an affiliate offer, a template or a network of accounts behind one operator.

The match is on the exact image, not on the caption or the landing page: the same creative uploaded again as a new ad counts, even under different text.

One ad link in, one screen out: how far its creative has traveled.

## Every ad and page running the same creative

You get the number of ads that use the same creative, how many are live, and the pages behind them.

What comes out:

- **Ads and live ads.** The total, and how many are running now. Two hundred ads with none live is a campaign that ended.
- **Pages.** The Facebook pages that use the creative, the biggest first, each with its ad count and a link to the page in the Meta Ad Library.

The count is for the exact creative. A cropped or edited version usually counts as a different one, so a low number can still hide variations of the same idea.

## Creative reuse checker: three steps

1. **Copy the ad link**
Open the ad in the Meta Ad Library and copy its address. The id in it is what identifies the ad.
2. **Press Check this creative**
Paste the link, or just the ad id, and press the button.
3. **Read the count**
Ads running the same creative, how many are live, and which pages are behind them.

A link with Ad Library filters still in it works too: the tool reads only the ad id.

## An ad link or an ad id, not an image

Paste an ad, not a picture. A Meta Ad Library link identifies one ad, and the tool takes the creative from there, so you do not need the image file.

Uploading an image is not supported here. Only the exact file the ad ran would match, and a screenshot or a saved copy usually would not.

If all you have is a picture, find the ad it came from in the Ad Library and paste that link instead.

**What to paste**

| Input | What happens |
| ------------------------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| Meta Ad Library link | The ad id is read from the address |
| Bare ad id | Used as-is |
| Link to a page, not an ad | Refused — a page id is not an ad id |
| Image file | Not supported here — paste the ad instead |
| Landing page domain | Different tool — use Advertising countries |

## Where the counts come from

The count covers ads Spytrend has seen on Facebook and Instagram. Google, TikTok and native networks are not part of it, so a creative reused there looks quieter here than it is.

Some ads have no usable fingerprint for their media. Then the page says so rather than reporting a zero, which would read as “this creative is unique”.

## Free version limits

Your first lookup is free, no sign-up. Leave your email for one more, then create a free Spytrend account: it opens the full ad library, and paid plans add fresh ads and every filter.

A link we cannot read as an ad, or an error on our side, does not use up a lookup. Embedded copies follow the same limits as this page.

## Spot the creatives competitors pay to run again — before you test your own

Engagement tells you how people reacted to an ad. It does not tell you whether the ad made money, and only the advertiser knows that.

A re-upload makes that knowledge visible. Nobody pays to run the same creative again because it felt nice; they do it because the numbers came back. That makes reuse a better way to tell a winner from an expensive accident than any like or share.

It works defensively too. Your own creative on pages you do not own is either an affiliate running your offer or somebody lifting your work, and both are worth knowing early.

This page checks one creative. In Spytrend you can sort a competitor’s ads by the creatives they reuse most, with the ads behind each.

## Every creative an advertiser runs, ranked by reuse

This lookup checks one creative.

Spytrend is an ad intelligence platform for Facebook and TikTok advertising: a full five-year archive of ads, AI-classified into 33 business categories, with every advertiser assembled into a single card — all ads, pages, domains and countries in one place.

### Who works this way

Media buyers picking an angle to test, creative strategists looking for what already works, and brand teams watching their own creatives turn up where they should not.

### What Spytrend shows you

- **Every creative an advertiser runs.** The whole set rather than one creative checked by hand, sorted by how many ads each one carries.
- **How long each has run.** Launch date and days running next to the creative: months of run time is the same signal as a re-upload.
- **The operator behind the pages.** Pages, domains and countries on one card, so forty pages running one creative read as one owner.
- **What the video ads say.** On paid plans, any video ad in Spytrend can be transcribed in one click.

### Why not check them one at a time

For a competitor’s whole account, one ad at a time stops scaling: you would first have to find every ad, and a reuse count alone does not say what the winning creative says.

### How to start

Check the ad here, then open Spytrend to see the rest of that advertiser’s creatives and which of them last. ## FAQ

- **How do I check if an ad creative is being reused?**
Paste the ad’s Meta Ad Library link and press Check this creative. You get the number of ads running the exact same creative, how many are live right now, and the Facebook pages using it.
- **Is the creative reuse checker free?**
Yes, to start. Your first lookup is free, no sign-up, and your email unlocks one more. After that, a free Spytrend account opens the full ad library; paid plans add fresh ads and every filter.
- **Can I upload the image instead of the link?**
No. Only the exact file the ad ran would match, so a screenshot or a saved copy would usually come back empty. Find the ad in the Meta Ad Library and paste its link instead.
- **What counts as the same creative?**
The exact same image, even when the ad text and the landing page differ, because the picture is what was paid for again. Crops and edits usually count as a different creative.
- **Why does reuse matter more than likes?**
Likes show how people reacted; they do not show whether the ad made money. A re-upload is the advertiser paying again for the same material, the closest public signal to “this worked”.
- **What does “we have not seen this ad” mean?**
The ad id is not in our data. Usually that is a typo in the link, a very new ad, or a market outside our coverage. Check that the link opens in the Meta Ad Library first.
