To work out a channel’s average views, enter its @handle or channel link and press Calculate. You get the median views of its recent videos, the subscriber count, views per subscriber, the size tier, and whether its views per subscriber are below typical, typical or above typical for YouTube channels of a similar size.
This page reads one channel from the creators we have collected. You do not type in any numbers; we already have them.
What you get
Median views per video, subscribers and views per subscriber for one channel
You get one number first: how many views a usual video on the channel gets. Under it come the subscriber count, the views per subscriber and how they compare with channels of a similar size.
What comes out:
- Median views. The middle view count across up to 20 recent videos from the past year. Half of those videos got more views, half got fewer.
- Subscribers. The size of the audience, which decides the channels it is compared with.
- Views per subscriber. The median views as a share of the subscriber count: what a usual video gets, measured against the size of the audience.
- How it compares. Below typical, typical or above typical, against YouTube channels of a similar size in our data.
- Size tier. The subscriber band the channel sits in, such as 100K–500K or 1M+.
The figure is the median of recent videos, so it reflects a usual video, not a single breakout one.

How the number works
The median of recent videos, set against the subscriber count
We take the channel’s videos from the past year in our data, up to the 20 most recent, and line them up by views. The median is the one in the middle: half of the videos got more views, half got fewer. A channel needs at least three such videos to get a number.
Views per subscriber is that median as a share of the subscriber count, shown as a percentage. It says more than either number alone: a large channel can draw few views for its size, and a small one can draw views well beyond its subscriber count.
For the comparison, the channel is placed among YouTube channels with a similar subscriber count in our data, and in the same category when there are enough of them. The bottom quarter reads below typical, the top quarter above typical, and the middle half typical.

Your first lookup is free, no sign-up. Leave your email to keep going, then create a free Spytrend account: in Spytrend Influencers it opens the first page of results, with part of the rows hidden, and a subscription adds full lists, contacts and export.
One lookup reads one channel from our database, and the result stays on this page. A channel we have not collected yet, or one with too few recent videos, is not counted as a lookup.
Why influencer marketers use it
Price a placement per view — with median views as the base
A quote for one sponsored video is easier to weigh per view. Divide it by the channel’s median views, what a usual video there gets, and you have a cost per view to set against every other channel on your list.
A creator manager with two quotes on the table divides each by its channel’s median views and sees which one costs less per view before agreeing a fee.
A brand manager planning a campaign adds up the median views of the channels booked for it, so the views target for the round rests on what a usual video gets.
Go further with Spytrend
From one channel to a shortlist for your campaign, with contacts
Median views check one channel before you pay. Finding the next channels and getting their contacts is the bigger job.
Spytrend is an ad intelligence platform for Facebook and TikTok advertising: ads AI-classified into 33 business categories, with every advertiser assembled into a single card — all ads, pages, domains and countries in one place.
Spytrend Influencers is where you find creators for your campaign and get their contacts. Search YouTube creators by niche, audience size and country, check a creator before you pay and export your shortlist. You find creators, check their audience and recent videos and contact them yourself.
Three jobs a view count cannot do on its own
- Building the shortlist. Search YouTube creators by niche, audience size and country, so every channel you check comes from a list that fits the brand.
- Checking a creator before you pay. Open a channel to look at its subscribers, views and recent videos before you agree a fee.
- Getting the contact. This page shows views, not contacts. A subscription adds creators’ contacts and the export of your shortlist; you contact the creators yourself.
From one channel to a shortlist, in three steps
- Pick the niche. Choose the niche, audience size and country your campaign needs.
- Check the channels. Open each one to look at its views and recent videos, and bring a channel back here for its median views.
- Export your shortlist. With a subscription, download the creators you picked as a CSV or XLSX file and contact them yourself.
